The Journal of Clinical & Applied Pharmacology (JCAP) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal publishing original research, reviews, and case reports that connect pharmacological science with clinical practice. It welcomes work on rational drug use, therapeutics, pharmacology education, and drug safety — useful, reproducible, and relevant to patient care in India and beyond.

A founding initiative

JCAP grew from a simple wish: to give pharmacology in India an open, fair, and freely accessible scholarly home — with a special place for student research. It was founded by Dr. Chetankumar Acharya, Professor & Head of Pharmacology, in a spirit of service to the discipline and its next generation.
